Explore on your own time and at your own pace with our self-guided walking tour. This 1.5-mile route takes approximately 1 hour to complete and highlights some of our most notable places on campus. (East Campus Self-guided Tour & West Campus Self-guided Tour)
We require that you register for your self-guided tour during our open hours. Visitors on campus during this time will need to stop by the John E. Thomas building to pick up a welcome packet and to validate their parking.

Available only with Expert-Guided Visit Plus ticket option. Guests must be 10 years of age or older for Expert-Guided Visit. Tour includes multiple flights of stairs with no elevator access. Wheelchairs, strollers, and baby backpacks are prohibited. Backpacks are not permitted on guided tours; guests are required to store backpacks in a locker or in their vehicle.
Much of the Academy is open to the public and we encourage you to enjoy the breathtaking views, incredible diversity of plants and wildlife, and rich history of our beautiful campus. Starting at the North Gate (exit 156 on Interstate 25), here is an easy and fun itinerary. We recommend allowing two to three hours for this self-guided tour.

The ITI program offers guided pathways to help students explore, choose and build a specific identity often (but not completely) defined in terms of career opportunities. We strongly encourage you to follow a guided pathway, although it is not required.
Cybersecurity and Information Assurance professionals protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation. Students following this guided pathway learn the technical fundamentals of databases and networks, and develop hands-on skills with the tools and techniques used to protect them.
Web Design and Development professionals create interactive websites and web applications to support individual, organizational and societal needs. Students following this guided pathway learn the tools and techniques of web design and development, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript; human-centered design; and networking and database technologies.
The self-guided visit is available for groups of 10-50 visitors looking to explore the exhibitions at their own pace. Each self-guided visit lasts approximately two hours, including independent exploration time. Our exhibits are designed to be self-guided and are most appropriate for visitors of sixth-grade age or older.
The CDC Museum is open for self-guided visits to individuals and groups with 10 or fewer participants. Reservations are not required. Visitors may come any time during operating hours.
